Quantitative imaging cytometry of myosin light chain diphosphorylation.
Cell signaling associated with myosin generated contractile forces is measured by visualizing the phosphorylation of myosin light chain in adherent A10 rat vascular smooth muscle cells. Phosphorylated myosin (green) is labeled with anti-diphospho MLC primary antibody, actin stress fibers (red) are labeled with TRITC-phalloidin, and nuclei (blue) are labeled with DAPI.
