Dynamic expression of Dab2 in the developing neural tube
The role of Dab2, an adaptor protein and one of two mammalian orthologs of Drosophila Disabled, is well established in the formation of visceral endoderm during mouse embryogenesis. During neuronal development, Dab2 is expressed in the neuroepithelium of the hindbrain in the early mouse embryo at E9.5 within rhombomeres 5 and 6. The Dab2 protein was localized using a Dab2 antibody (red staining) on a dissected neural tube after whole-mount immunostaining.
