Without HI, DCM scaled as N-1 independent of the stiffness, i.e., the "folding" state of the polymer. With HI, a stiffer polymer with a higher k2N diffuses slower because then the beads are on average further away from each other and the velocity correlation introduced by the HI is weaker.
