New journal Extreme Physiology & Medicine launched in September
Covering all aspects of integrative human physiology, this exciting new journal aims to enhance current understanding of disease processes through the study of the human body under extreme physiological stress. The broad scope includes extreme environments- such as altitude and hypoxia, hyperbaric conditions, aerospace or extreme temperatures, as well as intense endurance exercise and certain clinical conditions. Using investigations into human physiology at the limits of survival to inform disease states such as critical illness is the core mission for this journal.
Further information can be found on the journal website, launch editorial or by contacting the editorial office.
