Variability of MeC and DAPI intensities in synchronized cells. (A) Mean intensities (normalized for nā€‰=ā€‰~200 cells for each) of global methylcytosine (MeC) and overall DNA (DAPI) nearly doubled between G0/G1-phase and G2-phase, with a large spread in MeC and DAPI signal distributions indicating high signal variabilities in synchronized cells. (B) In comparison MeC/DAPI codistribution patterns in the combined data of the same cells from the two phases exposed a high degree of homogeneity, which is a sign for high similarity in MeC phenotypes between cells of the two phases.
