areas (A1, A2 and A3) employed to evaluate the ratio between the excimer and monomer of PyPC (E/M). Dotted
lines indicate the average boundary wavelengths at which the absolute value of the
first derivative of the spectrum reached a minimum. Temperature and excitation wavelength
were 25°C and 340 nm, respectively. B) Estimated E/M ratios by relating the areas
of the spectra using one of the two procedures shown in the legend. Error bars represent
the S.D. of two independent samples. Arrows indicate the E/M values for the AChR-containing
sample according to each procedure of calculation.
