Pre-amplification yield as a function of RNA input. qPCR quantification (mean Cq of 3 pre-amplified samples starting from 5, 15 or 50 ng input RNA) of 10 reference genes in four pre-amplified samples (error bars denote standard deviation). The standard deviation on the mean Cq-value of the three pre-amplified products per sample is low indicating that the yield is not dependent on the amount of input RNA.
