A histogram of 10, 000 samplings of 3 random miRNA binding sites was generated to determine the likelihood of having a certain number of predicted 3' UTR binding sites. Having miRNAs miR-20b, miR-99b and let-7b represent 15 binding sites was significantly greater than chance (p < 0.0001).
