For lactate, groups with the same superscript are significantly different between skill groups and the time the sample was taken (i.e. pre and post exercise test, P<0.01). Pre = pre-exercise, Post = post-exercise, 4 hr post = 4 hours following exercise, BUN= blood urea nitrogen, ALT= alanine aminotransferase, ALP= alkaline phosphatase, mmol/L= millimoles per liter, mg/L= milligrams per deciliter, IU/L= international units per liter, mEq/L= milliequivalents per liter.
