Interesting paper. I just cared for a child with hypothermia at my own neonatal department
this night (nighttime in Sweden).
It would be very interesting if the authors could follow a cohort of hypothermic children
with regards to later morbidity taking birth weight and gestational age into consideration.

Dr. Ludvigsson, thanks for your comment on our article. Your suggestion to follow a cohort of babies with and without hypothermia for subsequent outcomes is a good one. We have recently examined hypothermia in relation to subsequent risk of mortality - see our recent paper published in July 2010 issue of APAM for more details.
