The autophagic and endolysosomal pathways intersect and interconnect. Lipidated LC3-II, used as a marker for autophagy, is tightly associated with the autophagosomes. Note that Rab7, used as a marker of the endolysosomal pathway, is involved in both the autophagic and endolysosomal pathways.
