Antiproliferative effect of EEGS in HUVEC cells. Exponentially growing HUVEC cells were treated with various concentrations (0–200
μg/mL) of EEGS for the indicated time periods. The total cell number (A) and viability (B) were determined as described in the Methods. The effect of EEGS on HUVEC growth
and morphological changes were observed under the microscope at 200 x magnification
(C). The data are presented as the mean±S.D. of at least three independent experiments.
Statistical analysis was performed at the 48 h time point. *p<0.05 and ***p<0.001 compared with control treatment.
