Effect of EMM on activation and translocation of NF-κB in RAW 264.7 cells. (A) Cells were pretreated with and without EMM for 1 h followed by LPS stimulation for 30 min. NF-κB/p65 subunits were probed by anti-NF-κB polyclonal primary antibody and Alexa Fluor® 488-conjugated secondary antibody. The nuclei were stained with DAPI and the images were captured by confocal microscopy. (B) Cells transfected with NF-κB promoter-containing luciferase DNA were pretreated with various concentrations of EMM for 1 h followed by LPS stimulation for 6 h. ap < 0.05 indicates significant differences compared to the control group. bp < 0.05 indicates significant differences compared to the LPS-only treated group.
