Concentration-dependent inducing PGE₂ release in the J774 cells. Cells were treated with various concentrations of hydrobenzoin, 5-HMF and benzyl alcohol for 24 h, in the presence of 10 μg/ml LPS. After incubation, the PGE₂ accumulation in the medium was determined by the HPLC system. All the PGE₂ production data of samples above were within the detect range of HPLC method (0.1448-90 μg/ml). The samples over the range were diluted until appropriate to injecting into HPLC system.
