Boxplots for median baseline prolactin concentrations (25th and 75th percentile) according to the follow-up number of metabolic syndrome (MetS) components, separately for men and women. One-way analysis of variance showed a significant inverse trend for prolactin concentrations across number of MetS components at follow-up in women (p = 0.033), but not in men (p = 0.331).
