Prostasin and HAI-1 are located on the apical and the basolateral side, respectively
in normal tissue and some colorectal cancer tissue specimens whereas they are co-localized
in other colorectal cancer tissues specimens. Tissue sections of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded normal and malignant tissue
from colorectal cancer patients was immunohistochemically stained for prostasin (A,
E, I) and HAI-1(B, F, J). Histological normal colorectal tissue from a cancer patient
(upper panel, A, B, C and D) and two examples of colorectal cancer tissue are shown
(middle and lower panel). Nuclei were visualized by DAPI staining (C, G, and K).
