Histological evaluations of RSV-injected versus medium-injected tumors (3 tumor specimens in each group) are presented. Tumor sections were stained with hematoxylin and eosin. For each tumor sample, pathologic changes were graded by a blinded, board certified veterinary pathologist (GBH) as 0 = normal, 1 = minimal, 2 = mild, 3 = moderate, 4 = moderately severe, 5 = severe. Grading criteria were based on invasion of adjacent normal tissue, necrosis, mitotic figures per 20X high power field (m/hpf*), compression of the surrounding tissue, mineralization (minยง) and neovascularization (NVII).
