Relative abundance estimates used for correlation calculations Estimates of relative abundance of each cell type in each sample were based on perfect purifications for purified cell populations and on normal adult values for mixed populations [14]. We used these estimates in order to identify genes whose measured levels of expression were positively correlated with the estimated relative abundance of each cell type. (Abbrev: WB = whole blood).
