The genes with conserved (nonDEGs), upregulated, or downregulated expression due to heat shock are shown in gray, yellow and cyan, respectively (B). All the genes of the DEGs_gr and DEGs_hs are shown in red and brown, respectively. Significance was determined with the Wilcoxon-Mann–Whitney test, and the P-values are indicated. C. Enriched gene categories. The DEGs were divided into 23 gene categories, according to a previous report [37]. One-tailed binominal tests were performed to determine the significance of the enrichment of each category. The log-scale P-values are displayed as a heat map with gradations of blue; darker blue indicates higher significance.
