(A) A phylogenetic tree of the full sequences of LHB/CGB gene from Homo sapiens, Pan troglodytes, Gorilla gorilla and Pongo pygmeaus. (*) denotes sequences from [44]. Phylogenetic analysis of intergenic regions was conducted with segments without (B-D) and with (E-G) covering NTF6 pseudogenes. The homologous segments used for each respective phylogenetic analysis are indicated with a circle on a consensus structure of the intergenic regions in LHB/CGB cluster (boxed; from Figure 1B). The nomenclature of the intergenic regions is as on Figure 1B. Bootstrap support values are shown at the nodes (1000 bootstrap replications).
