Pustell DNA matrix (DotPlot) of 7,531 bp of Schistosoma mansoni genomic DNA sequenced from BAC clone 33-N-3, revealing two identical 386 bp repeat
sequences flanking 5,515 bp of unique sequence. A schematic representation of the
6,287 bp retrotransposon encoded by the sequence is shown below the matrix, with the
positions of the LTRs and several domains (CHB, Cys-His Box; PR, protease; RT, reverse
transcriptase; RH, RNaseH; IN, integrase) labeled. The position of the probe employed
