Inset: the effect of overall swarm mating success on the average distance to the nearest 3 swarms to test that swarms cluster near highly successful swarms. Simple regression (solid line) and LOESS (broken line) are used to evaluate the trends. Quadratic and linear regression summary statistics are shown.
