These confocal images compare a stage 10 egg chamber produced by a bw;st female (top panels) to one produced by a mfrZ4070/mfrZ1386 female (bottom panels). Gurken (green) was detected by immunolocalization in dorsal-anterior corner of the wild-type oocyte (A) and in a more restricted region in the oocyte produced by mfr females (C).
