(A) Fura-2 loaded pancreatic acinar cells were perfused with 20 pM CCK-8 in the presence of Ca²⁺ in the extracellular medium. Following CCK-8 stimulation, 50 mM ethanol (EtOH) was included in the perfusion medium. (B) Pancreatic acinar cells were perfused with 50 mM ethanol (EtOH) in the presence of Ca²⁺ in the extracellular medium. In the presence of ethanol 20 pM CCK-8 was included in the perfusion medium. The horizontal bars indicate the time during which ethanol and CCK-8 were applied to the cells. The traces are typical of 8-9 independent experiments.
