The influence of index and parameter settings is investigated on the baselines: (1) the circles highlight the best results generated by three different indices; (2) the x-axis represents the evaluation measures, where "word", "sen" and "par" stand for the word-based, the sentence-based and the paragraph-based indices; the parameter settings are specified in the legend corresponding to the indices; (3) one of the conclusions is drawn that the sentence-based index produces the best results in terms of the document-level, the word-based index for the best results in terms of the passage-level and the paragraph-based index for the best results in terms of the passage2-level; (4) the data are corresponding to Table 2.
