Top 20-ranked protein-protein interactions (PPIs), as identified by the number of times they were observed in the aggregated data set. The quantities and calculations are annotated as in Table 1, except that the data were sorted in decreasing order of PPI occurrence Oij. The proteins involved in these interactions are easily recognizable, and this partly reflects an underlying study-bias of focusing research efforts on a smaller set of high-interest proteins.
