Total RNA was extracted from male and female rat livers and sex-dependent gene products were identified using rat whole-genome oligo arrays. The data were obtained using SAM at a false discovery rate of 5% and are represented as mean fold changes. Functional analysis was made but only genes involved in lipid, carbohydrate and amino acid metabolism are listed here.
