World Food Day 2017

New Content Item​​​​​​​World Food Day is celebrated around the world every year on 16 October in honor of the date of the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 1945. World Food Day aims to promote worldwide awareness and action for those who suffer from hunger and for the need to ensure food security and nutritious diets for all. The theme for 2017 is “Change the future of migration. Invest in food security and rural development”. We have brought together the most relevant, highly influential research to help spread awareness.

New Content ItemClimate Smart Agricultural Technologies in West Africa from Agriculture & Food Security

Developing agronomic techniques to combat the effects of a changing climate is of utmost important to the communities of West Africa. The World Agroforestry Centre has been coordinating the development of these agricultural technologies, and the papers within are a presentation of the first three years of work on this project. This project was made possible with the collaboration of the national research institutions of Burkina Faso, Ghana, Mali, Niger and Senega, and financial support from Climate Change Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS).
