Editor's Pick

stem cell and therapyStem Cell Research & Therapy is the major forum for translational research into stem cell therapies. An international peer-reviewed journal, it publishes high-quality open access research articles with a special emphasis on basic, translational and clinical research into stem cell therapeutics and regenerative therapies, including animal models and clinical trials. The journal also provides reviews, viewpoints, commentaries, reports and methods.

protein and cellProtein & Cell publishes original research articles, reviews, and commentaries concerning the latest developments in multidisciplinary areas in biology and biomedicine, with an emphasis on protein and cell research.Subject areas include biochemistry/biophysics, cell biology, developmental biology, genetics, immunology, microbiology, molecular biology, neuroscience, oncology, protein science, structural biology and translational medicine.

13008Cell Division is an open access, peer-reviewed journal, which publishes articles in areas including, but not limited to, molecular aspects of cell cycle control and cancer, cell growth, proliferation, survival, differentiation, signalling, gene transcription, protein synthesis, genome integrity, chromosome stability, centrosome duplication, DNA damage and DNA repair.

Cell Communication and SignalingCell Communication and Signaling is an open access journal that encompasses all basic and translational aspects of cellular communications and signaling pathways in normal and pathological conditions. Genetic and epigenetic changes, cell-cell, cell-environment and cell-pathogen interactions often modulate or even override programmed patterns of cell behaviour. Cell signaling is therefore not only critical for normal cell growth and development, but abnormal signals are associated with numerous human diseases.

Journal Relaunch

BMC Molecular and Cell BiologyBMC Molecular and Cell Biology, formerly known as BMC Cell Biology, is an open access journal that considers articles on all aspects of both eukaryotic and prokaryotic cell and molecular biology, including structural and functional cell biology, DNA and RNA in a cellular context and biochemistry, as well as research using both the experimental and theoretical aspects of physics to study biological processes and investigations into the structure of biological macromolecules.

3D visualization of extracellular vesicle uptake by endothelial cells

Extracellular vesicles are small vesicles that contain cytoplasmic and membrane components from their paternal cells. They enter target cells through uptake to transfer their biological cargo. In this study, the authors from Cellular & Molecular Biology Letters investigated the process of endothelial EV internalization and created a 3D visualization of their intracellular distribution. The 3D visualization allows the determination of a more accurate location of EVs relative to the donor cell nucleus.
