BMC Gastroenterology is calling for submissions to our new Collection on Vascular disorders of the liver. This Collection aims to collate original research articles that relate to recent developments in the field of hepatic vascular disorders, from state-of-the-art diagnostic methodologies to innovative therapeutic interventions.

Xingshun Qi, MD, General Hospital of Northern Theater Command, China

Dr Xingshun Qi is the head of the Department of Gastroenterology of the General Hospital of Northern Theater Command. His major research interests are the clinical researches in the etiology, diagnosis, and management of liver cirrhosis, portal hypertension, portal vein thrombosis, Budd-Chiari syndrome, and hepatocellular carcinoma. He serves as a senior editorial board member of BMC Gastroenterology, an editorial board member of Advances in Therapy and Therapeutic Advances in Gastroenterology, and an academic editor of Canadian Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology.

Le Wang, MD, General Hospital of Northern Theater Command, China

Dr Le Wang is affiliated to the College of General Hospital of Northern Theater Command of China Medical University. Her major research interests are the management of liver cirrhosis and portal hypertension (especially portal vein thrombosis and gastroesophageal variceal bleeding).

 

Yuzheng Zhuge, MD, PhD, Affiliated Drum Tower Hospital of Nanjing University School of Medicine, China

Dr Yuzheng Zhuge is the Associate Director of the Department of Gastroenterology at the Drum Tower Hospital of Nanjing University School of Medicine. He's also the vice chairman for the Digestive Diseases and the Hepatology branches of Jiangsu Medical Association. Dr Zhuge is a member of the liver and gallbladder Society of Digestive Diseases and the drug induced liver disease group of Liver Society of the Chinese Medical Association.


About the Collection

BMC Gastroenterology is calling for submissions to our new Collection on Vascular disorders of the liver.

While considered less common than other liver complications, hepatic vascular disorders pose significant health challenges. Comprising a variety of conditions like hepatic artery thrombosis and portal vein thrombosis, they can lead to complications ranging from liver congestion to potential failure. This Collection aims to collate original research articles that relate to recent developments in the field of hepatic vascular disorders, from state-of-the-art diagnostic methodologies to innovative therapeutic interventions.

Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:

•    Hepatic artery thrombosis
•    Portal vein thrombosis
•    Budd-Chiari syndrome
•    Hepatic hemangioma
•    Hepatic arteriovenous malformation (AVM)
•    Sinusoidal obstruction syndrome (SOS)/ hepatic veno-occlusive disease (VOD)
•    Peliosis hepatis
