BMC Oral Health is calling for submissions to our Collection on Prevention and management of dental erosion and decay.

The erosion and decay of teeth pose a significant health concern, causing long-term progressive damage. Tooth wear and caries not only affects oral health, but also impacts an individual’s overall health and quality of life, which presents a major burden on public health systems. For example, over half the world’s population is reported to be affected by dental caries by the World Health Organization (WHO). Therefore, the effective prevention and management of dental erosion and decay is a critical component of providing a comprehensive oral health care service.

New Content ItemThis Collection supports and amplifies research related to SDG3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG10: Reducing Inequalities.
