Research on this topic is extensive as it addresses critical issues affecting societies worldwide. By investigating disparities and biases in education based on gender, researchers aim to identify and rectify barriers that hinder equal access to learning. The focus on gender equality in education is not just an academic concern; it is a practical approach to fostering inclusive societies and promoting better public health outcomes.
This Collection supports and amplifies research related to SDG 5: Gender Equality, SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities.
The collection explores various aspects of education with a focus on gender-related perspectives and their implications for public health. We welcome submissions looking at but not limited to:
- Gender perspective on the right to education
- Disparities and barriers in educational opportunities based on gender
- Educational practices addressing gender differences, programs responding to specific gender needs and assessing their effectiveness
