Biomedical Engineering Online - 20th anniversary collection

New Content Item2022 marks an exciting milestone for Biomedical Engineering Online. We celebrate 20 years of publishing research and timely reviews in all areas of biomedical engineering, since our launch as a fully open access journal with BMC in 2002. With all research being made freely available online immediately after publication, and with a thorough and constructive review process, the journal has created a truly global community of biomedical engineers. In this 20th anniversary collection, we present a selection of highly cited publications that illustrate the broad scope and demonstrate the lasting impact of the journal on developments in the field.
