Head & Face Medicine is calling for submissions to our collection on Virtual planning in Head and Face Medicine emphasizing on 3D virtual planning in surgery of the head and neck. This Collection, edited by Dr. Rafal Pokrowiecki and Dr. Barbora Sulifarsky is open to both original articles and systematic reviews focusing on application of 3D augmented reality in planning and performing safe and reliable procedures in the orofacial area. We are interested in considering manuscripts exploring key aspects of virtual planning in basic science as well as in clinical practice.

Rafal Pokrowiecki: Prive Esthetic, Craniomaxillofacial and Facial Feminization Surgery; Poland 

Dr. Rafal Pokrowiecki, performs his Private Practice of the craniomaxillofacial, cosmetic and facial feminization surgery and 3D-Virtual Surgery Planning. He obtained his graduation in dentistry in 2012 and PhD in 2017; he is a board certified maxillofacial surgeon since 2022. Apart from that Dr. Pokrowiecki is an attending surgeon at Clinic of oral and maxillofacial surgery at University hospital in Bratislava, Slovakia. 
 

Barbora Sufliarsky: Comenius University Bratislava, Slovakia

Dr. Barbora Sufliarsky is an external PhD student at Clinic of oral and maxillofacial surgery since 2022. She graduated in dentistry in 2016 and in general medicine in 2021. She is a double board certified doctor- maxillofacial surgery since 2022 and a doctor at Clinic of oral and maxillofacial surgery at University hospital in Bratislava, Slovakia. Apart from that Dr. Sufliarsky is a teaching assistant at Medical faculty of Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia and lecturing and actively participating on regular basis on different educational events worldwide. Her main focus in dentofacial skeletal anomalies, orthognathic surgery and facial feminisation/masculinisation surgery.

Head & Face Medicine is calling for submissions to our collection on Virtual planning in Head and Face Medicine emphasizing on 3D virtual planning in surgery of the head and neck. Augmented reality has recently emerged a fundamental player in a number of invasive procedures involving dentoalveolar surgery, oncological, orthognatic and orthofacial surgery involving gender-affirmation surgery of the head and neck. This Collection, edited by Dr. Rafal Pokrowiecki and Dr. Barbora Sulifarsky is open to both original articles and systematic reviews focusing on application of 3D augmented reality in planning and performing safe and reliable procedures in the orofacial area. We are interested in considering manuscripts exploring key aspects of virtual planning in basic science as well as in clinical practice.

This Collection welcomes submission of Research Articles, Data Notes, Case Reports, Study Protocols, and Database Articles. The Guest Editors have no competing interests with the submissions which they handle through the peer review process. The peer review of any submissions for which the Guest Editors have competing interests is handled by another Editorial Board Member who has no competing interests.
