Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery and Research is calling for submissions to our Collection on Promoting Gender and Sex Equality in Orthopaedic and Traumatology Surgery.

Despite recent efforts in tackling gender equality in the whole of medicine, disparities in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery still persist in terms of surgical and research performance, participation and opportunities. This Collection shall explore and promote research on these issues in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery, with a focus on understanding and addressing gender disparities and research participation, performance and career advancement. Also, much research has traditionally focused on male patients only. This Collection welcomes manuscripts detailing outcomes in non-male patients.
