We invite studies that investigate the efficacy, safety, mechanisms of action and knowledge and attitudes of nutritional interventions in complementary medicine, including but not limited to:

  • Research on potential therapeutic benefits of nutritional supplements and functional foods for different health conditions
  • Investigations into the impact of dietary patterns on health outcomes
  • Research on integrative nutrition approaches that combine conventional medical treatments with complementary nutrition strategies
  • Studies examining the use of mindful eating practices or mindfulness-based nutrition interventions as complementary therapies for mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, or eating disorders
  • Investigations into the role of nutritional genomics and personalized nutrition interventions in managing genetic or metabolic disorders, optimizing health outcomes, and preventing disease progression

By encouraging discourse surrounding the role of nutrition in complementary medicine, this collection aims to advance our understanding of how dietary factors can be integrated into holistic approaches to health and wellness. We encourage submissions that contribute to evidence-based practice and promote interdisciplinary collaboration in the field of complementary medicine and nutrition.
