BMC Public Health is calling for submissions to our Collection on Migration and health. Migrants are often vulnerable individuals, often coming from communities affected by war, conflict or economic crises and undertaking long and perilous journeys that increase their risks for diseases. They may also face hardships such as language barriers, lack of knowledge about health services, loss of social status, discrimination and marginalization. With migration an international issue affecting every country in the world and increasingly on the rise, there is an urgent need to engage with this global phenomenon at all levels in order to support progress towards health and development targets.
