BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders  is calling for submissions to our Collection on Musculoskeletal infections. Musculoskeletal infections mainly affect bones, muscles, joints and associated soft tissues, causing considerable pain, joint swelling, and restricted mobility. These may occur spontaneously or as a post-operative consequence and can cause life-threatening complications if left untreated. Approaches on the management of musculoskeletal infections require collaborations between specialists in orthopedics, radiology, microbiology, and infectious diseases in order to accurately diagnose, effectively treat, and monitor these infections.
