The Journal of NeuroEngineering and Rehabilitation invites participating authors to submit to our Collection on Emerging Approaches to Cognitive and Physical Virtual Rehabilitation.
This Collection contains representative publications emerging from the 15th International Conference on Virtual Rehabilitation (WCISVR2023) sponsored by the International Society for Virtual Rehabilitation (ISVR). The main purpose of ISVR is to encourage research, education, advocacy, and collaboration between researchers, clinicians, industry, and policy makers regarding virtual rehabilitation and tele-rehabilitation.
This Collection of articles demonstrates only a portion of the scope of virtual reality (VR) based research that is currently taking place in both the cognitive and physical rehabilitation arenas.
The included articles range from research on recovery of motor control with disease and injury, to the use of VR technologies in novel interventions for children and adults. All these studies reflect how including VR technology in the rehabilitation process will enhance our ability to shape rehabilitation interventions following the principles of Human-Centered and Participatory design.
This Collection of articles has not been sponsored and articles have undergone the journal's standard peer-review process overseen by the Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editors.
The Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editors declare no competing interests.
