The Japanese Physiological Society celebrated its 100th anniversary in July 2022. In commemoration of this anniversary, a special collection entitled "100 Years Progress of Physiological Research in Japan" will be published in the Journal of Physiological Sciences, as collected Open Access review articles. Editors invite the members of the Japanese Physiological Society who have made significant contributions to the development of physiological research in Japan and around the world to submit a review article for this special collection.
