World Heart Day: Take the road to a healthy heart

In recognition of World Heart Day on the 29th September 2013, we have brought together a collection of articles that have been published in the last year across our open access journals on prevention and control of cardiovascular disorders.

World Heart Day 2013 addresses the importance of a life-course approach to the prevention and control of cardiovascular disease (CVD) with a focus on women and children. This campaign will highlight what actions can be taken through a person’s life to reduce their risk of CVD.
