Prof Delong Liu

Journal of Hematology & Oncology is an open access, peer-reviewed online journal that encompasses all aspects of hematology and oncology.

Delong Liu, M.D., Ph.D., is a Professor of Medicine and the Director of Mini-transplant Program at the New York Medical College and the Westchester Medical Center. He also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Hematology & Oncology (www.jhoonline.org). He is a member of the American Society of Hematology as well as the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

He received his PhD in Oncogenesis from the Mt. Sinai Medical Center, and completed residency training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He had fellowship training in Oncology and Hematology at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center where he gained extensive experience in the management of leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, aplastic anemia, myelodysplasia, and bone marrow transplantation. He has pioneered a novel mini-transplant chemotherapy regimen and is also leading a variety of clinical trials in leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and bone marrow transplantation as well as in alloimmunotherapy for renal cell cancer and selected solid tumors. His research team has been developing laboratory techniques to study blood stem cells, leukemia and myeloma cells as well as to characterize new chemotherapeutic agents. Dr. Liu has over 100 publications on these topics and lectures both domestically and internationally.
