Pediatric Rheumatology is an open access, peer-reviewed, online journal encompassing all aspects of clinical and basic research related to pediatric rheumatology and allied subjects.

Alberto Martini is Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Genoa and Director of Pediatria II Reumatologia (EULAR Centre of Excellence in Rheumatology 2008-13), G Gaslini Institute, Genoa, Italy.

Professor Martini is President of the Paediatric Rheumatology European Society (PRES), Founder and Chairman of the Pediatric Rheumatology International Trial Organization (PRINTO), and President of the Italian Council of Academic Professor of Paediatrics. He is also the author of more than 300 papers in peer reviewed journals related to paediatric rheumatic diseases.
