Professor Raul Altman graduated from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, with a medical degree and subsequently worked for several years in the Rivadavia hospital, Buenos Aires. From 1984 to 1995, Raul was a Visiting Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Bell Memorial Hospital, Kansas, USA, sharing his time between Buenos Aires and Kansas. He has since returned to Buenos Aires in the position of Head of the Buenos Aires Thrombosis Center. Raul is the Director of the masters course in Thrombosis at the National University of Tucuman, Argentina.
