Epigenetics & Chromatin is a peer-reviewed, open access, online journal, which publishes articles that provide novel insights into epigenetic inheritance and chromatin-based interactions.
It is exciting to be part of the launch of a new journal in the field of epigenetics and chromatin, particularly because it is an open access journal that will publish articles aimed at understanding how the activity of genes and other genetic elements is regulated and maintained during self renewal, differentiation and environmental changes. It will include a wide range of different topics related to the biochemistry of the genome, its structure and its interactions with the environment.
Frank Grosveld is a molecular biologist whose research interests are in the regulation of transcription during development with a particular emphasis on mammalian erythroid differentiation. He obtained his PhD at McGill University, Montreal and after completing two postdoctoral periods with Charles Weissmann (Zurich) and Richard Flavell (Amsterdam and London) he started his own research group at the national Institute for Medical Research, Mill Hill. He is presently a professor and Head of the Department of Cell Biology at the Erasmus Medical Center, Rotterdam. He is a fellow of the Royal Society and a member of the Royal Dutch Academy of Science.
