Archives of Public Health is an open access, peer-reviewed, international online journal whose focus is on the better understanding of the health of populations.

Archives of Public Health contributes to public health knowledge, enhances the interaction between research, policy and practice and stimulates public health monitoring and indicator development.

The journal considers submissions on health outcomes and their determinants, with clear statements about the public health and policy implications. The journal welcomes methodological papers (e.g. on study design and bias), papers on health services research, health economics, community interventions, and epidemiological studies dealing with international comparisons, the determinants of inequality in health, and the environmental, behavioural, social, demographic and occupational correlates of health and diseases.

Olivier Bruyère, Ph.D., is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Public Health, Epidemiology and Health Economics of the University of Liège in Belgium.  He is co-director of the Clinical Testing Methodology Unit in this University. Doctor Bruyère is member of the Group for the Respect of Ethics and Excellence in Sciences (GREES) and he works as expert for the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and for the French Food Safety Agency (ANSES).  His main field of interest is epidemiology and pharmacoepidemiology related to rheumatic conditions.  Besides being Editor-in-chief of the journal “Archives of Public Health”, he is Associate Editor of the journal “BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders” as well as on the editorial board of various journals.  He is author of more than 100 international scientific publications and book chapters.
