Clinical and Translational Allergy is a peer-reviewed, open access journal providing a platform to publish original research and reviews in the field of allergy. Such articles can be based on clinical, translational or basic research.
Clinical and Translational Allergy is one of several journals in the portfolio of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. Open access publishing enables free access to all contents ensuring a wide dissemination of articles; the electronic format and the optimised manuscript handling process allows very rapid publication of papers.
Clinical and Translational Allergy is an international journal reaching out far beyond the borders of Europe, and invites clinicians and researchers from all countries of the world to contribute. Clinical and Translational Allergy publishes original research articles and reviews, as well as EAACI position articles, EAACI Task Force Reports and EAACI guidelines.
Clive Grattan, MA, MD, FRCP, is currently Consultant Dermatologist at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and St John's Institute of Dermatology, London, UK. Since 2011 he is also Chair of the Dermatology Section of the Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI), the academic association behind this journal.

Authors retain copyright of their material. The journal is now indexed in PubMed Central and new publications will therefore have wide exposure. Advances in allergy and immunology are being made in the clinic and in the laboratory at a rapid rate. CTA provides the platform for rapid dissemination of these findings to a wide audience to provide greatest impact and benefit to society. The challenge of launching a new journal is already past and now is the time to project CTA into the future as the premier online resource for allergy research."
