Killer-cell Immunoglobulin-like Receptor gene linkage and copy number variation analysis by droplet digital PCR
Genome Medicine 2014, 6:20 (5 March 2014)
Killer-cell immunoglobulin-like receptors play roles in infection, transplantation and pregnancy, but genotyping is difficult. A new ddPCR approach could make haplotype definition routine.
Global numbers of infection and disease burden of soil transmitted helminth infections in 2010
Parasites & Vectors 2014, 7:37 (21 January 2014)
Here we present the estimated global numbers infected with soil transmitted helminths for 2010 and use disability-adjusted life years to estimate global disease burden. Estimates informed the Global Burden of Disease Project 2010. Image: Countries shaded by combined prevalence of any STH infection in 2010, based on empirical data. Darker shades indicate higher prevalence.
