This paper describes a novel activity for the anti-filarial drug ivermectin. Ivermectin at sub-lethal concentrations inhibits the sporogony of Plasmodium falciparum in Anopheles gambiae. The results described in this paper have major implications in the design of anti-malarial programmes.
