A 14-gene signature associated with distant metastasis in untreated, early stage, lymph node-negative, estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer patients could be valuable for tailoring adequate therapeutic interventions in patients with very low risk of metastasis and thus not necessarily in need of adjuvant systemic therapy.
